The Paintings of a Paint Maker, the Landscapes of Robert Gamblin

As an oil painter Robert’s primary focus has been on painting the landscape. In 1980 he founded the artist color company Gamblin Artists Colors that makes artist oil colors, print making inks, and related materials.
Over the last four decades his two endeavors of making paintings and making color have been in continual dialogue with one another. This book addresses the interesting issues that he has focused on and how they have manifest themselves within the series of paintings that make up Robert’s work.
Color, and its ability to communicate emotion, is the “star of the show.”
